South American Mission Society. John and Linda Cobb are our link mission partners working with SAMS in Santiago, Chile. John was originally our curate here in Reading in 1968 after training for the ministry at Wycliffe College, Oxford. Linda, his wife, then taught at Bracknell. In 1974 John and Linda felt called to go and work for SAMS with the Anglican Church in Chile. And they have been there ever since! That is quite unusual today when most mission partners spend less than 10 years abroad. Their three boys, David, Peter and Marcus have grown up in Chile and been educated in Chilean Schools and Universities. They are trilingual in Spanish, German and English.
